Help Me Understand Tie Pin
The Help Me Understand Tie Pin is a discreet symbol designed to help create a more understanding and inclusive experience within equestrian sport.
Created by Rachel White Hulse in collaboration with respected equestrian societies, this tie pin allows judges, stewards and fellow competitors to recognise that the wearer may experience the world differently and may benefit from information or instructions being explained in a way that best meets their needs.
The tie pin is not intended to influence judging or competition results. Its purpose is simply to encourage understanding, improve communication and help ensure every competitor has a positive experience.
Alongside the launch of the Help Me Understand initiative, Rachel is providing free neurodiversity awareness workshops for judges, stewards and members of the equestrian community to help promote greater understanding and practical ways to support neurodivergent riders.
Together, we can make equestrian sport more welcoming, inclusive and accessible for everyone.
